You’ve been listening to your upline and you are still not making any money. You are starting to wonder if your upline is actually making any money either. Well, the truth of the matter is that the old way of marketing your MLM business rarely works.  Unless you are a master salesman with thousands of connections and are willing to spend 12 hours a day working, you will never make a real income in your MLM business unless you utilize the Internet.

• Keep marketing using the old techniques. You wouldn’t want to miss out on sponsoring your star rep just because you overlooked someone in your warm market.

• Create a Lead Capture Page – This is a one-page ad in which the exclusive purpose is to get people to give you their contact info in exchange for something valuable.  This is your target market.  For instance, if you sell health drinks, offer a free article explaining the secret harms of soda in exchange for the visitor’s name and email. Once you have their email, make sure to send them periodic emails with interesting content. The goal here is to build a relationship with your leads so they will trust you and want to try your product. You can keep up this correspondence by hand, but if your list becomes very large, it is much easier to use an auto-responder.

• Create a blog.   Use this blog to write helpful articles that relate to your product or business.  Using the same health drink example, write an article explaining the health benefits of different vitamins.  Write an article on the harm that dehydration can do to a body.  Try not to sell on your blog, just make it informative. Instead you can send your visitors to recommended websites or lead capture pages. It is there that it is appropriate to sell.

• Publish these articles on article sites.  Be sure to use good keywords throughout your article, including your title. Don’t plagiarize. Google awards content rich, original work with high ranking. Also, make sure to have a link back to your blog at the bottom of the article and a link to your lead capture page.

The more valuable, original content that you put out on the Internet with links back to your blog, the more traffic you will get.  The goal is to have your future customers/reps to seek you out, so you can stop bugging your friends and family. They don’t want to be in your business, and these online visitors do!
